Curious AIR

Next-Gen Aerial Drone Robotics & Automation

About Curious AIR

Curious AIR is our most exciting and cutting-edge program — bringing VEX Air's drone-based robotics curriculum to the Bay Area for the first time. Students learn to build, program, and autonomously fly aerial robots using the official VEX AIR competition platform. From basic flight control to multi-drone coordination and path planning, Curious AIR is the ultimate STEM challenge for students ready to push limits. Whether competing in regional VEX AIR invitationals or simply exploring autonomous flight logic, this program is a launchpad — literally.

What You'll Learn

  • Building and assembling VEX AIR aerial drone robots
  • Programming autonomous flight paths and waypoints
  • Sensor fusion: ultrasonic, optical flow & IMU integration
  • PID control loops for stable hover and maneuver
  • VEX AIR game strategy and competition rules
  • Advanced C++ robotics programming with VEXcode
